How and why did I become a therapeutic counsellor?
Before a career change in 2009 and starting my training as a therapist, I had worked in both the private and voluntary sectors for over 23 years, where my varied roles and responsibilities in the retail and entertainment industries, have included, coaching, mentoring, training small and large groups, managerial and leadership positions, public speaking, performing arts, teaching and choreography.
My main motivation in life has always been to help and work with others, which has been a common theme throughout my personal and professional life.
However, working as a therapist with people and their relationships, couples and on a one-to-one basis, I am forever amazed at how diverse and incredible they are and it is truly a privilege that I honour every day.
